Belma Michael Johnson is an award-winning producer specializing in awards shows, talk shows and factual entertainment. He has produced for the NAACP Image Awards for over 20 years, including five years as co-producer, and has produced for the Grio Awards and Byron Allen Presents: Juneteenth—A Celebration. His talk-show credits include Dr. Phil, The Roseanne Show, SoapTalk, Vibe and BET’s Live from L.A., earning Emmy nominations for Dr. Phil and SoapTalk. Johnson has written, produced or directed over 25 music documentaries and various series for HGTV. As a philanthropic adviser, he has produced events for Chris Paul, Clayton Kershaw, Martin Lawrence, Nick Cannon and Sharhonda & Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men.
